Mary Ann Leff's most recent process driven large scale paintings are luminous, highly textured and gestural. Metallic paint accents and contrasts with deep blacks and transparent yellows. Abstract shapes float or are anchored in space, each mark intentionally relating to the frame, reaching out to connect with viewers and allowing for interpretation and emotional experience.
